Unforeseen events are a part and parcel of life. To safeguard against unexpected events, such as an accident or health emergency, you need insurance.

Our team of insurance experts at Finance for Expats helps you prepare for a physically and financially secure future in Germany.

The Die Deutschen Versicherer (German Insurance Association) has 460+ members. We perform a personalized cost and benefit analysis of each within your budget and purpose to give you the best insurance plan with the lowest premiums.

Rest easy, knowing that insurance has you covered should anything unfortunate happen.

Health Insurance is compulsory if you stay or work in Germany for more than 3 months. You can choose a private or public plan for this. All other insurances are optional to have.

If you work for an employer in Germany, some insurances are paid for through your social security contributions. These include unemployment insurance, statutory pension insurance, and statutory accident insurance.

Roughly 90% of Germany is publicly-insured. This is because private insurance requires an income of more than €64,350 per annum. If you fit into these criteria, you can choose a private insurance plan.

With a myriad of options in the market, choosing the right insurance plan can be confusing. Our consultants at Finance for Expats understand your needs, assess the 300+ insurances in the market, and shortlist the best insurance plans for you.
